Wanted, Dead Or Alive! Poster - Destiny 2 Edition

Course: DGD106 - Design Fundamentals

PROJECT OVERVIEW

Create a captivating "WANTED" poster, leveraging skills and knowledge gained in the early weeks of the DGD106 course. The challenge involves combining imagery and typography while adhering to specific mechanical and technical specifications.

BRIEF

Idea: The project involves the creation of a "WANTED" poster, drawing inspiration from wild west outlaw posters. Reference materials were provided for exploration.

Vector Illustration: The central piece, a vector illustration, is an original creation by the student.

Inspiration from Destiny 2: Influenced by the student's favorite video game, Destiny 2, the poster is inspired by the game's universe, particularly the new DLC featuring the villain Savathune.

SOLUTION

Approaching the project, I focused on a meticulous blend of typography and imagery. The challenge was to strike a balance between the bold, dynamic essence of Destiny 2's universe and the traditional, rugged feel of classic "WANTED" posters. The solution involved careful selection of fonts, precise alignment, and strategic use of the original vector illustration. By adhering to the mechanical specifications and leveraging design tools like Adobe Illustrator, I crafted a poster that not only met the technical requirements but also conveyed a unique narrative inspired by Destiny 2.
